Q: Where do clients stay when they’re in Vancouver?
We have some accommodation information on our site. An accommodation guide is available that might be helpful. If clients have questions, they’re encouraged to call our Clinic at 604 827 0556.
Q: Do clients need to travel to Vancouver for assessment and treatment?
Sometimes clients will be assessed in Vancouver at the BC OSI Clinic, other times, they may be assessed closer to their home community. The assessment location is based on a number of factors – client preference and logistical considerations are certainly taken into account.
Part of the client’s assessment is a review of prior treatment information provided to us by the client’s referral source. Then we develop a care plan with each client and their family or support network where appropriate. While the BC OSI Clinic is located in Vancouver, we provide support to clients in other areas of the province in person and via Telehealth. Check out our Treatment Section for more information.
Q: Does the Clinic treat clients who come from all parts of British Columbia?
Yes, we provide service throughout the province.
Q: How do clients access the BC OSI Clinic’s services?
All clients need to be referred to our Clinic by either VAC, the RCMP or Canadian Forces. Please check out the Referrals section of our website.
Q: Who can be treated at the BC OSI Clinic?
The BC OSI Clinic treats referred residents of British Columbia who are Veterans, members of the Canadian Forces (Regular and Reserve) and members of the RCMP who have an Operational Stress Injury. The Clinic also treats a client’s family members where appropriate.
