SOCIAL WORKER 2 (Full time):

Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited University. Minimum five (5) years recent, related, clinical experience working with psychological stress and trauma, and/or working with members of the military or police services .

Eligible for registration with the BC College of Social Workers.

Comprehensive knowledge of empirically supported interventions for individuals, couples and families experiencing operational stress injuries. Knowledge of the culture of Canadian Forces, veterans, RCMP; their peacekeeping experience, war experience and psychosocial impact. Broad knowledge of substance abuse and addictions issues and treatment. Broad knowledge of research process and methodology. Demonstrated ability to function as a team member, leader and facilitator. Demonstrated ability to communicate with, and deal effectively with, co-workers, clients and their families, both one-on-one and in groups. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others. Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with conflict situations. Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities in collaboration with others. Physical ability to perform the duties of the position. Basic computer literacy.

PSYCHOLOGIST (Full time):

Graduate of a Doctoral level program in Psychology. Two (2) years clinical experience in the designated scope of practice areas of mental health, diagnosis and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, substance use disorders and/or post-traumatic stress disorder, preferably in a military or police services environment.

Current registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia or registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia within one year of employment.

Comprehensive knowledge of psychology treatment and empirically supported treatment methods for mental disorders and psychological trauma. Comprehensive knowledge and expertise of psychology assessment including semi-structured diagnostic assessment. Comprehensive knowledge of treatment, assessment and management of anxiety disorders and post traumatic stress disorder. Culture of Canadian Forces, veterans, RCMP; their peacekeeping experience, war experience and psychosocial impact. Comprehensive knowledge of adult education principles, methods and tools. Broad knowledge of substance abuse and addictions issues and treatment. Broad knowledge of research process and methodology. Demonstrated ability to function as a team member, leader and facilitator. Team supervision and coaching Demonstrated ability to communicate with, and deal effectively with, co-workers, clients and their families, both one-on-one and in groups. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others. Demonstrated ability to teach and supervise. Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with conflict situations. Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities in collaboration with others. Physical ability to perform the duties of the position. Basic computer literacy.
